NASA to Daytona

By Capt. Scott Buckley

As stated in the previous post we left Vero Beach and headed to Cocoa Beach near Cape Canaveral.  It was cool to see the large assembly building and there was a rocket on the launch pad waiting for a launch later on.

We got up the next morning to head to Daytona.  SV Alice Mae had won a free slip at the Loggerhead Marina there at Daytona and there was and anchorage near the Marina. We  stayed one day at Daytona and headed next to St. Augustine.

Dave and Alice and SV Alice Mae.

This is the home port of our new friends and traveling companions on SV Alice Mae.  We had hooked up with Dave and Alice back in November in Marathon and had been traveling together off an on ever since.

They have turned out to be truly great and generous friends.
